In 1943 a young William Clay Ford graduated from the Hotchkiss School. This was his graduation present from his father Edsel Ford. This is an Extremely rare war time Cartier one button Chronograph. Important for its Horological scarcity and collectable for its Americana interest, and with the permission of the current owner, we are showing this timepiece to honor his passing. We sold this watch last year. The asking price $155,000.00. Cartier One Button two register Chronograph,24 Jewel, 6717 Cal Chronograph movement , Excellent Cartier 6526 marked 18K Solid Gold case measuring 36.8 X28.8 mm, With William Clay Ford May 22, 1943 and the Hotchkiss School logo on the back, aged satin dial, with Chronograph outer track and Tachometer inner track, arabic numerals, blue Breguet hands, Chronograph sweep seconds with flyback.
